Enjoy Free Food at Panera Bread

Saturday June 6, 2009
Who doesn't love free food? This Thursday, June 11, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., you can score free nosh at Austin-area Panera Bread bakery-cafes.

For the entire day, the bakery-cafes will be offering free samples of new items from their seasonal summer menu. One item you can taste is the Strawberry Poppyseed Salad, which is comprised of fresh romaine, pecans, fat-free reduced sugar Poppyseed dressing and fresh fruit.

Another sample item is the Chopped Cobb Salad, which features all-natural, antibiotic-free pepper-mustard chicken, Applewood-smoked bacon, crumbled Gorgonzola, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs and romaine lettuce tossed with an herb vinaigrette dressing.

While you're there, you can try three frozen drinks: the Low-fat Strawberry Smoothie, Frozen Lemonade and Frozen Mocha.

There are three Panera Bread locations in Austin: 2805 Bee Caves Road, 4625 West William Cannon Road and 9901 North Capital of Texas Highway.
