South of Austin, it may be a bit of a drive for tourists on a tight schedule but this beautiful Hindu temple is worth the trip. The dome towering over the treetops is an eerie and unexpected sight in the middle of the hill country.

Located Southwest of Austin, approximately 30 minutes from downtown, a large sign on FM 1826 (Camp Ben McCulloch Road) indicates where to turn, the main entrance is about 1/4 of a mile further.

The centerpiece of Barsana Dham is the Temple of Shree Raseshwari Radha Rani. Established in 1990 and dedicated five years later, the 35,000 square foot Temple is one of the largest and most beautiful Hindu temples in the United States.
