Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas

It's prime real estate along Loop 1 northwest of downtown. Since the events of September 11, 2001 access has been restricted but you can still visit virtually or by appointment/permit if you don't have military ID. Behind the fences and concertina wire are historic buildings, a museum, a church, offices for various military units, a track, and shopping.
