Churches & Chapels for Austin Weddings

Many brides want a traditional church wedding but either their own church is unavailable, too small, or perhaps they have no formal church affiliation in Austin. You can still have that church wedding location whether its a little white chapel, a stone cathedral, or something in between.

University Community Church
Ministry and weddings available for members and non-members in this downtown church next to UT. There are two facilities available to accommodate both small, intimate weddings and larger ceremonies. To save costs, the wedding coordinator has decorations from previous weddings and the church rents candelabras and unity candle stands. See the site for details about the ceremony and the facilities.

Tie the Knot Wedding Chapel Services
For something in between a civil ceremony and a full-blown traditional wedding. Have your wedding in a lovely white chapel in Georgetown. The small, Gothic Revival style chapel features a bell tower and antique pews. Wedding and reception packages are available. View photos and details at the site.

Falkenstein Castle
Have your fairy tale wedding at a real castle, right in the Texas Hill Country. Falkenstein Castle, about 50 miles west of Austin, is a private residence but the Chapel at Falkenstein is available for weddings. There is also a 5000 sq. ft. reception hall opening in April 2001. Mercury Hall
Hold weddings and receptions in a turn-of-the-centry Texas church. No longer in use for services, the building is available for private events. It features cathedral-style stained glass windows, pine walls, a 1700 sq. ft. air-conditioned hall, caterer's kitchen, and an outdoor terrace. Our Lady's Maronite Catholic Church
Both the church and the Maronite Center are available for rental to the general public. Bring your own caterer. The church features stained glass windows and Austin limestone interiors with a dome and bell tower. The Maronite Center is 7000 sq. ft. with a complete kitchen. See photos at the Web site.

Old Glory Ranch
