Fences now cut through and cut off portions of the park area and tree walk at the corner of 35th Street and Mopac where this totem pole stands.

The totem was presented to the camp in 1949 by the Royal Canadian Air Force in honor of the Texans who joined the RFAC to fight in World War II.
