These galleries feature historic photos of women's sports, women in the arts, entertainment, and politics, and a virtual tour of historic Central Texas locations from a best-selling book about pioneer women's life by a woman Texas author. Then, in Parts 2 and 3, you'll find fun and interesting facts about the first women in politics, a few famous faces, and some places in Texas named for women.

At The Center for American History view a series of photos from women's athletics at the University of Texas from the 1900s to present day. While many of the sports are familiar, women's sports uniforms have undergone radical changes.

The First Lady's Gallery
At the LBJ Library and Museum on the UT campus you can explore a varied collection of historical photos, notes, and quotes from Lady Bird Johnson's years in the White House. The online version gives you a taste of what is available at the museum. Some of the sections include The Nation's First Hostess, Championing the Environment, and One Woman's Legacy.

True Women
Much of the history of Seguin, Texas is told in True Women, a family history tale that became a best-selling book. Native daughter Janice Woods-Windle starts her tale with Euphemia Texas Ashby King and the virtual tour begins at King's Cemetary where Euphemia is buried. The tour continues through various historic locations with notes and quotes from the book.
