Austin - A Great Place to Visit

Austin is chock-full of historic landmarks and unusual tourist attractions, from the beautiful Texas State Capitol to the Congress Avenue bridge and its nighty bat flights. We're not too shabby when it comes to museums, places to eat, and of course there's live music just around every corner. So it's no wonder that Austin gets high marks for sightseeing and family trips.

Austin, Arts, and Appetites
Austin attained a ranking of 8 in the "Top 25 US Arts Destinations" based on attractions such as the Blanton Museum of Art, Austin Museum of Art, Mexic-Arte Museum, and the Umlauf Sculpture Gardens, with a special nod to The Elisabet Ney Museum. To all those who make a big to-do about the superior arts scene in Dallas and Houston, please note that they came in at #13 and #17 respectively. San Antonio was also on the list -- at 18.

The number of restaurants helped determine the ranking, but the tastes of Texas put Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin in the "Top 25 Tastiest Cities" as determined by Verizon SuperPages. Pass the brisket!
